What Will I Learn?

This course teaches you the theory and practice of everything you need to know to get your documents into print, so that colour separations run out to film or digital press first time without any problems. Including a formula for calculating correct scanning resolution, 'Collect for Output' in Quark and Indesign, correctly managing file types, colour models and resolution, interpolation and re-sizing in Photoshop, managing fonts, trapping, explaining all the related pre-press and print terminology used at the print shop, recommending a workflow for files from digital cameras, explaining the Offset Litho process and recommending ways of working to avoid costly errors. You won't need separate 'pre-flight' software ever again and you will be the star of the organisation. Clients receive a flowchart that takes them step by step through the major stages in producing a document from concept to completion.
