What Will I Learn?

The tuition is customised for all levels and interests. You will learn when and how to use Adobe Illustrator, to exploit its strengths; how to use all the tools, and understand their advantages and applications as well as numerous professional tips and creative techniques for producing stunning graphics for export to print and web design projects, as well as sending Illustrator jobs straight to print themselves. We will work on examples that teach you essential techniques like masking, creative type effects, colour theory, creating and editing complex shapes, styles and symbols, compound paths, typesetting and copy fitting, gradients, avoiding 'banding', transparency and 3D effects as well as the fundamentals of drawing, tracing and editing complex objects and how Illustrator integrates with other programs. By the end of the training you will have mastered the bezier path (pen) tool, curve handles and anchor points crucial to everything you do in Illustrator, as well as pre-press and print issues.
